A long weekend every week – the 4-day working week makes it possible. Since July, we at dissol GmbH have been working ‘only’ from Monday to Thursday and enjoying the weekend from Friday onwards. Of course, this doesn’t mean we’re any less hard-working now! We make up for the hours lost on Fridays over the other four days. Our weekly working hours – for full-time staff – amount to 37 hours.
The 4-day week has already been tested in pilot projects in countries such as the UK and Spain in recent years. Most companies reported positive results after the trial phase and have stuck with the 4-day week.
In Germany, too, the debate surrounding the four-day week has gained momentum. We at dissol GmbH are always open to new ideas and have decided to try out this working time model. We hope that the four-day week will lead to a better work-life balance for our employees. From a business perspective, too, we believe this concept offers a number of advantages, such as savings on energy costs.
This model could also be a compelling reason for new colleagues to join us.
